A lot of sleet, a little rain, and a healthy serving of wind.
Surprisingly enough, I barely even noticed the plates during the three hours we were out.
Russia’s Winchester
It’s a basic fact that the larger your army, the more difficult it is to supply it. Such is the case with the Russians during World War I. They had such a shortage of firearms that they contracted U.S firearm manufacturers Westinghouse, Remington and Winchester for guns. While the former two companies produced Mosin Nagant 91/30’s, Winchester supplied the Russians with a version of their 1895 lever action in 7.62x54R.
Ironically the Russian model is the most plentiful variant but also the rarest in the U.S because only a few thousand were exported back and many of those ended up getting modified into hunting rifles.
M1895 Russian Bayonet
This rather long (16” blade), but unassuming bayonet is actually for the Winchester supplied Russian Model 1895. To some degree these are actually harder to find than the rifles they belong to. Price varies quite a bit depending on condition, as many are missing their sheaths. Price can be as low as $250 for just the blade up to $900+ for a complete bayonet in good condition.
I’m not a bayonet collector but this is one model I actually keep an eye out for because it can easily be mistaken for something else.

yahoo is deleting every blog with less than 100 followers
CEO quoted as saying “I hate nerds”
Is this a joke??? Like what the hell yahoo?? That is not okay! We aren’t nerd because we don’t have 100 followers. You aren’t a nerd for being on tumblr. Our nerdiness has nothing to do with tumblr, so leave us the hell alone.
the majority of tumblr is just fucking retarded isn’t it?
I know this is fake, but I actually wish they would, it would get rid of 99% of the anti-gun rights blogs haha, most of them tend to have next to no followers.
Why would you wish this upon me CZ? I only have 48 followers. ;_;
We shall lower it to 35, I am sure this would still get rid of them.
Did a little bit of research and turns out I have a South African Navy Enfield(thanks unsubstantiatedrumors for the heads up)
Sweeeeeeeeeeet

My new Enfield No.4 Mk.1
Nice, man. What company made it?
Other than this there are no real markings on it so I am uncertain.
Other than importer markings saying this rifle came from England and was imported to Virginia, this is the only marking on my Enfield No.4 Mk.1.
Anyone know what it means?
INSAS
An Indian soldier with the INSAS rifle. It’s an odd looking firearm that pulls aspects (aesthetically and operationally) from others such as the FAL, AK, G3 and Galil. In spite being designed in India, the rifle has fallen out of favor with the military and a replacement is being sought for from other manufacturers.
No civilian version exists as far as I know, so chances of one entering the U.S are slim. The only INSAS item I’ve ever seen for sale was one of it’s bayonets, which looks a lot like an AK’s bayonet.
I hope these fake Yahoo threat posts are actually attempts by Yahoo to weed out the gullible and less mentally adept from this site in preparation for
removing their blogsfiring them into the sun.Tumblr genocide of undesirables?
