I saw a post saying “Calling a semi-automatic rifle an ‘assault rifle’ is like calling baking soda cocaine”
Now tell me what defines an “assault rifle” why does an assault rifle have to be full-auto or 3 round burst? the way I see it is you can take a bolt action rifle and assault someone with it, so it’s a rifle you assault with, therefore it’s an assault rifle.
There is no difference between an AR15, and a M4/M16 other than the fire selector. They are bother assault rifles. Just my 2 cents.

“Assault Weapon” is the is the blanket term for just about anything you are thinking of, but Assault rifle has a pretty strict definition and mislabeling it looks about as dumb as calling a pick-up truck a station wagon.
