HEXOLIT 32S shot gun ammo
Cartridges on my grandpa’s windowsill. #guns #cartridges #firearms
Experiments in large-caliber caseless ammunition juxtaposed with a .50 BMG round.
All the caliber I’ve got right now with the exception of 5.45 because I don’t want to open my spam can.
Finally got to shoot my muzzleloader. It’s a Thomson Center High Plains Sporter .50cal. I was shooting these hollow point sabots at 50 yards. I had a light charge of only 50 grains. We was able to find this beautiful mushroom afterward in the dirt.
Because I don’t quite have enough 7.62x54r variants yet. Target, heavy ball, and x2 plain from Novosibirsk (headstamp 188) Bulgarian, Czech (probably my favorite for accuracy) and various commercial ammo (Silver Bear, S&B, Prvi Partizan, Hornady, etc.)
Although its been around for over a century, the 9.3x62mm cartridge is more popular in Europe than it is in the Americas, which makes it somewhat obscure for U.S shooters. It’s a viable African game caliber but would be considered a bare minimum option. (GRH)
Assorted hollow point expansion compared.
