Shooting a friends Ishapore Enfield 2A chambered in 7.62X51 NATO. Nice rifle, but probably the heaviest rifle I have ever shot. Which is odd because my Mauser is larger.

To me weapons were forged for those who were too weak to defend themselves. But when the saturation of these man killers hit the streets , the role of power has switched. Now even the bravest man can cower at the hands of a coward.
I think you are confusing braveness with psychical strength.
Plenty of brave humans carry guns and plenty of cowards do as well.
Just as plenty of cowards are physically strong and plenty of brave men are not.
Firearms allow for civility in society. They allow for everyone to be almost on an even plain. Without them brutes can do as they please. If a 6’5” 300 pound, all muscle person is intent on killing you, you die. If you are smart enough to be armed you live. Not to mention that most criminals intent on harming people carry some sort of weapon, whether it’s a knife or a gun.
In my opinion it’s a logical move to carry a “man killer”(to use your dialect)
if you filled your guns with flower seeds rather than bullets,this whole planet would be a marvelous garden.

I feel like you’re implying that this isn’t an assault rifle, when I’m fairly sure it is.
I am pretty sure it is one of the civilian VZ-2008’s, even if it was an assault rifle , it would be like posting a picture of an M14 and just saying battle rifle, it’s so much more than that.
I was mostly trying to imply the original poster doesn’t know what it is.
I’m pretty much going by the number “30” I see on the fire selector switch, but I’m just assuming that slavguns don’t have the same kind of show-offy big-penis syndrome that causes American gun companies to put the full-auto marks on an AR-15 receiver. So I’m not necessarily saying that it absolutely is an assault weapon, but it looks like it might well be.
You might be right, it just looks like one of the civilian ones to me.
